Name: Jim Steele

Occupation: 28 year Automotive Technician

Location: Surrey, BC, Canada

Interests: Wrenching, machining, fabrication, automatic transmission tech and rebuilding.

Current vehicles: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, SS clone, 383 Stroker, 4 wheel discs, full Hotchkis suspension. 2005 Ford CVPI, ex-RCMP. 1991 GMC big block dually. 2013 Chevy Sonic LT (wifes car). 1998 Chevy Cavalier (doughter's car).

Dream garage: I do this for a living and am a little jaded, so dream boathouse would be a better question! However, I would love a minty 61' Impala bubbleback or maybe a 70' Monte Carlo with a big block.

Previous vehicles of interest: I onwed a 65' Chevelle Malibu SS for many years when I was younger...should never have sold it.

How did I find you: Googling "car tycoon" type games.

About: 49yo, auto tech for my entire career.

I really like the premise of this game. Would love it if it actually dealt more in depth with camshaft profiles, lift, duration, overlap, base circle, etc...but then it would cease to be a game and become an engineering simulator.

I love it so far for what it is. Looking forward to the tycoon aspect, cuz my designs will stand the world on it's ear!

Cheers all!

Name: Geoffrey

Occupation: Former computer repair tech, now a call center supervisor

Location: Seattle area (WA state)

Interests: Hiking, camping, writing, light wrenching (bolt-on mods and maintenance), hockey.

Current vehicles: 2013 Chevy Sonic LT (wondering if my neighbor to the north there right above has a turbo on his... I do), 2007 Hyundai Entourage (mom-mobile/tow vehicle).

Dream garage: I'm going to be the weird guy here and come up with what others might think is "random crap". a Big Bad AMX, an unmolested Subaru Brat with the twin-halo roof, and an Ariel Atom.

Previous vehicles of interest: Had to sell it when the economy tanked back in '08... I had a 1973 AMC Hornet Hatchback with a factory 304 warmed up a bit with an Edelbrock cam and IM, bigger carb, and dual Flowmaster exhaust. Would have also had headers if the supposed "small car AMC" headers that I bought weren't actually large car headers.

How did I find you: Trying to find the old game "Detroit" as abandonware. Got bored, looked at the Wikipedia page for it, and found a link to Automation.

About: Casual car-loving nerd who absolutely loves the premise of the game... and I'm hoping it takes "Detroit" so much farther. Which so far it's doing.

Hi, new guy here.

Hey there. I was actually introduced to this game, by YBR on YouTube, of all folks. And as both a gearhead and a gamer, I couldn't help but be utterly fascinated by this game.

Here's a little about me:

Name: Steve

Occupation: Unemployed

Location: The Dallas/Fort Worth Metro, TX

Interests: Video games, writing, computer stuff, etc.

Current vehicles: A 2000 Ford Expedition

Dream garage: Too many to count.

Previous vehicles of interest:

How did I find you: Well, as I stated above, YBR on YouTube.

Other Stuff: I'm 24 years old. I write some stuff in my spare time, especially if it pertains to the "alternate/counterfactual history" genre, of which I'm a huge fan; I even have my own website dedicated to such. I'm also a longtime video gamer, and have owned several consoles. I'm also a foodie and when I get the chance, one can catch me seeking out unique alternative recipes to try. I'm also a generally likeable person and try to get along with everyone I meet.
